Position: Contracts Specialist
Job Description:
Lumwana Mining Company is seeking a motivated Contracts Specialist to join the Supply Chain team. The role involves upholding LMC’s contract management processes, ensuring adherence to policies, and supporting the Contracts and Local Procurement Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer on-site contracts and manage Vendor Management Contracts.
- Apply LMC’s tendering and contracting procedures as per policy.
- Ensure contractors comply with contractual obligations and commercial requirements.
- Provide precise commercial advice on tendering and contractual matters.
- Uphold company policies and procedures related to contracting.
- Contribute to the ongoing review of contract terms to meet company standards.
- Ensure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
- Significant experience (5 years) in Contracts Management, preferably in mining.
- In-depth knowledge of International Contracts.
- Member of ZIPS (Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
- Strong negotiation skills, exposure to ERP, and knowledge of Zambian and English contract law.
