Job Description:
Seeking a mature Christian Zambian couple to work as House Parents for a boys' home with up to 8 teenage boys. The role involves living full-time on Abba's Heart campus, providing care, rehabilitation, and spiritual guidance to youth rehabilitating from street life.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and exemplify Christian principles and the gospel.
- Supervise and care for residents at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and family-oriented home atmosphere.
- Establish a daily schedule covering chores, meals, education, recreation, devotions, hygiene, and bedtime.
- Maintain detailed records of residents' behavior, progress, and areas for improvement.
- Manage behavior issues promptly and appropriately, providing consistent discipline.
- Report behavioral concerns to the Home Life Coordinator.
- Engage residents in life skills development such as cooking, personal hygiene, work ethic, education, games, gardening, etc.
- Create individual plans with goals for each resident's success in independent living.
- Manage basic household finances and take boys to church.
- Undertake a work responsibility for the AHZ property.
Requirements:
- Mature Christian Zambian couple with a strong desire to work with and develop youth.
- No young children in the home.
- Live full-time on the Abba's Heart campus in Kitwe.
