Job Opportunity

To support our wide range of research activities, we are looking for a candidate to fill the following position:


Position:Driver (1)

Job Location:Lusaka 

Duration: One (1) year contract


Tasks and Responsibilities

- Drive the study vehicle to assigned communities

- Check the condition of the vehicle’s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, oil, lights, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure everything is in working condition

- Comply with traffic regulations to operate the study vehicle in a safe and courteous manner

- Provide monthly reports on vehicle status

- Provide timely updates on due vehicle services

- Maintain knowledge of first aid procedures

- Regularly update the vehicle logbook

- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor


Requirements

- Minimum Grade Twelve (12) school certificate

- Age between 30 and 50 years

- Knowledge of the Zambian Highway Code

- Clean and valid Class C driving license

- 10 years of driving experience in a busy environment

- Two references from the most recent employment

- Basic knowledge of mechanics

- Professional integrity including safeguarding standards

- Mature and sober character

- Reliable, dependable, and honest

- Ability to communicate fluently in English and local languages
